Studies show that the unemployment rate went down to just 6% in December, however, it is not because more people are obtaining jobs. No, it's because people have been out of the work field and unable to find jobs that they just give up. The amount of rejection they received was too much and they gave up.
This article sheds light on the issue that we have here in America with unemployment. Even with jobs being created, we still have a problem with unemployment because it is just too hard to find jobs or to become hired. I think that this is a reflection on the issues going on in congress regarding the raise in minimum wage and Obama's healthcare bill. Employers don't want to have to hire and pay more people than they absolutely have to-- it's expensive, and the result of this is a decline in jobs and the ability to obtain a job nearly impossible.

Ya it's interesting how the rate employment went down but it is solely because the people giving up on employment went up. There needs to be a solution. I know from personal experience how hard it can be to find a part time job that will hire me. I wish we could find a way to make a little easier.
